With annual sales of €2.03 billion and almost 21,700 employees, Austrian Post is Austria’s leading logistics and postal services provider. In addition, the company has a strong international presence thanks to its subsidiaries in eleven countries. Austrian Post’s main areas of business include shipping letter mail, advertising mail, print products and parcels as well as a wide range of logistics services.
Austrian Post has an extensive network of postal branches, 450 of which are operated by the company itself and 1,350 are Austrian Post partners, making it one of the largest networks for private clients in the country. Services provided include postal services, banking services, telecommunication services and energy-related services.
Customer orientation as a top priority
Its many innovative services and products make Austrian Post even more attractive for its clients. One case in point is the 335 postal branches with a self-service area which are located in the lobby of postal branches and are available 24/7. They include pick-up kiosks, shipping boxes and stamp machines.
Austrian Post’s many online services make customers’ lives easier. These include amongst others item tracking, parcel forwarding and parcel stamps. In addition, our Austrian Post app and our postcard app as well as customised business solutions make access to our services easier than ever before.
Since 2014, Austrian Post has also been offering food delivery, even on the same day if requested.
Austrian Post’s portfolio includes a wide range of advertising solutions, from targeted direct mailing and catalogue delivery to increasing the impact of cross-media campaigns and partially addressed advertising mail to efficient strategies for new client acquisition. In addition, there is KUVERT, which is an advertising medium with a large circulation, delivered to 3.1 million Austrian households. Our digital products, including the discount locator, digital KUVERT, and physical and digital newsletter addresses as well as data management have all been designed to make hybrid advertising solutions as efficient as ever.
A large range of special logistics services and an international network
The corporation’s portfolio also includes a large range of special logistics services, from combined freight and temperature-controlled logistics to contract logistics services. In the last few years, Austrian Post has extended its logistics value-creation chain by adding customised fulfilment solutions such as storage, order picking, return management and logistics services for online stores. Money and valuables shipping is also available. Thanks to international cooperation and by relying on the distribution network EURODIS, Austrian Post, as a member of the E-Parcel Group (EPG), can ship items to other countries swiftly, efficiently and safely without any system disruptions, whether it’s a one-kilo parcel or a 800-kilo pallet.
