Vibe Code Wednesday: A Room of People Building, Every Week

Every Wednesday at 17:30. Free, no speakers, no experience required.

Vibe Code Wednesday is not a meetup with speakers. It is a room of people building their own thing, on the same evening every week.

It started in April and it has run every Wednesday since, at 17:30 at the hub in Praterstraße 1, two minutes from Schwedenplatz. It is free.

The idea

Building with AI is a solitary activity that does not need to be. Most people learning it are doing so alone, at home, hitting the same problems other people solved last week and having no one to ask.

So we opened a room. Same time, same place, every week. You bring a laptop and whatever you are working on. Everything else is optional.

Nobody presents. Nobody sells anything. People work heads-down on their own projects and talk when they get stuck, which turns out to be often enough that the room is never quiet for long.

Two formats

Building sessions run on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of each month. No registration, just turn up. Doors from 17:30, arrive and leave when you want. WiFi and power provided, beverages from the vending machines.

The roundtable runs on the first Wednesday of the month and needs registration on Luma, because seats are limited. This one is the feedback session. Bring what you are building, show the room, get feedback. No slides, no timer, no pitch. Half-finished is perfect, and it is usually more interesting than finished.

Edition 01 ran on 5 August. The third edition is coming up.

Who comes

Complete beginners through to people who write software for a living. No coding knowledge required, and we mean that literally, because a meaningful share of the room is building things without writing much code at all.

The mix is the useful part. Someone three weeks into their first project sits next to someone who has been shipping for ten years, and both get something out of it.

What to bring

A laptop, which is the only requirement. Something you are building, if you have it. Questions, if you do not.

See the next dates. Building sessions need no registration. For the monthly roundtable, register on Luma, since the room has a limit.
