Everyone knows quantum. Far fewer know what’s actually inside it.
For most investors, deep tech remains a black box: hard to evaluate, long cycles, heavy physics vocabulary, few usable criteria. The result is that quantum cases either never get looked at, or get judged on the wrong signals.
This session won’t make you a quantum expert in 90 minutes — nobody does that. It will give you a working framework: where value sits in the stack, which questions to ask, and which answers should stop a conversation.
What makes that possible here is the material we have to work with. Austria runs quantum research at genuine world level, and the spin-offs coming out of it are far enough along to be worth examining properly. We use them as the working material rather than abstract theory.
Who this is for
Business angels, pre-seed and seed investors, family offices and corporate venture teams who want to evaluate deep tech seriously but lack a working framework for quantum. International investors attending invest.austria are particularly welcome — this is designed as a compact orientation before the conference.
If you already run a quantum portfolio, you won’t hear much that’s new. Register anyway — we value having that perspective in the room.
What this is not
Not a pitch event. No startups present, no one is raising. Founders looking for capital are not the audience for this format.
Held deliberately on the eve of the invest.austria conference (4 November) as a compact primer for those already in town. The timing leaves evening dinner commitments untouched.
Limited seats. Registration subject to approval.
A Qubit Founders format, coordinated by weXelerate
